QPilot, QorusDocs’ new generative AI service, is a secure and private AI service that simplifies the task of crafting pitches, proposals, and RFP responses. QPilot Smart Skills provides you with access to pre-built and customizable prompts via the QorusDocs Hub and QorusDocs add-ins for Microsoft Office. Each Smart Skill prompt triggers a specific, automated action tailored to your team’s immediate needs.
Smart Skills, deeply integrated into your workflow to provide suggestions, analytics, new content, edits, and more, are browsable and can be ran with ease throughout the unique journey of each customer response. View and edit Smart Skills by selected Content Libraries and Product Areas within the Smart Skill grid in the QorusDocs Hub.
Improved Smart Layout grid enhances your experience in the grid-view by implementing a feature that allows users to define which lookup data field is displayed in the Smart Layouts grid view.

April 18th, 2024 Release
In our latest release, we're excited to introduce a host of enhancements designed to elevate your Pursuit experience. With careful attention to your feedback, we're confident that these updates will significantly improve your journey with Pursuit.
- Guest Pursuit Create Form
- Pursuit Member Notifications
- Editing Standard Pursuits with External Integrations
Guests Pursuit Create Form
We've enhanced the way you can kickstart proposal requests within your organization! Now, when any member of your team spots a promising Pursuit opportunity, they can simply utilize a secure link to our Pursuit form, eliminating the need for manual communication with the proposal team. This streamlined process ensures quick and accurate submission of Pursuit information without the hassle of back-and-forth exchanges or data re-entry.
Here's how it works:
Simplify Guest user setup: To ensure smooth access to the link, individuals using it must be registered users. We've simplified this process with Group syncs! Now, when linking an Active Directory group, you can easily designate the user role assigned to that group.
- Expand ‘Settings’ in the side navigation
- Navigate to ‘User Management’
- Select the ‘Groups’ tab
- Click ‘Create’
- Select your AD group
- Assign the group the “Guest” user role
- Click 'Create'
Notes:
- Pre-existing groups will automatically reflect the 'Standard' user role.
- If a person is synced through multiple groups with different roles, they will retain the highest-access role. For instance, if someone is synced to both a group of Designers and a group of Standards, we will prioritize their Designer role.
- For Admins who prefer to add users individually, we've included a 'Guest' option in the role selector as well.
Ensure that your users have the necessary permissions to access the SharePoint location linked to the Pursuit Type where they intend to create Pursuits. Additionally, verify that they have authorization to create Pursuits of that specific type.
You can head over to your Pursuit Type, select the gear icon and go into ‘Edit’. Here you can see the Pursuit Location as well as which users can create a Pursuit:
Admins can easily access Pursuit Type-specific creation links by navigating to Manage > Pursuit Types, then clicking the gear icon and selecting 'Copy Pursuit create link':
Once the Admin has copied the link to their clipboard, they can easily share it with the relevant members of their team (e.g. by pasting it on the company's Intranet site). When users click on the link, they'll be seamlessly directed to a full-screen Pursuit Create form, simplifying the process of initiating new pursuits:
Next, the guest user creating the Pursuit will need to complete all three tabs involved in the creation of Pursuits. Once this is done, a success screen will pop up, confirming to the user that their Pursuit has been successfully created:
If you're a licensed user, you'll notice a second button on this page, allowing you to Open the Pursuit. You might wonder, 'How does the proposal team know that the Pursuit has been created?' Keep reading to find out.
Pursuit Member Notifications
Just like how we've empowered guest users with the ability to create Pursuits in the previous feature, we're now addressing another common challenge. Previously, if you were added as a member of a Pursuit, you wouldn't know unless someone informed you. But with this upcoming release, Admins can set up automated notification emails to be sent to anyone added to that Pursuit Type.
The default email body will appear as shown below, but there is an option for Admins to edit the email. If you'd like to include any custom Smart Fields in the email, Admins can easily do so by utilizing the a unique formatting pattern by using curly brackets ({{Custom.Smart.Field}}).
Please note that if you use the usual Hub delimiters it will not work, the curly brackets are unique to the Pursuit notification email.
With this setting enabled, any custom members of a new Pursuit (including default members!) will receive an email notification about the Pursuit, and any custom members added later will also receive a notification.
Editing Standard Pursuits with External Integrations
And for our final release, currently, when customers' Pursuits are created through an external integration, the Standard Fields in the Pursuit aren’t editable. This can be problematic if the user would like to update, for example, the Pursuit Outcome, Value, or Due Date in QorusDocs. In this release, we're introducing a Pursuit Type setting that customers can enable to allow editing of this information even if the Pursuit has been created from an external tool.
Note: If you do not see this option, please reach out to your CSM or our Support team for further assistance.
