Join Hub Auto-Responder Released October 4th
Our first feature significantly enhances the new user experience, particularly for enterprise clients who plan to centrally deploy the Add-in across their organization. We’ve added an auto-response email that is sent to the person requesting to join the Hub when they click the “Join” button in the Add-in, confirming that their request has been sent.
The default text of this email is:
Thank you for your interest in QorusDocs!
We have received your request to join the hub and we have emailed your Admin for approval. After your Admin responds to your request, you will receive a confirmation email to this address.

Helper Text on Smart Field Add/Edit Form Released October 4th
We're pleased to introduce a recent enhancement to our Smart Field Add/Edit form, designed to enrich user understanding and interaction. You'll now find informational “i” hover icons next to several fields, offering immediate, helpful explanations to assist in your navigation of the form. Here's a brief overview of the information these icons provide:
Field Reference: This is primarily used for mapping fields integrated with an external tool.
Hidden: If this setting is enabled, the Smart Field will not appear during Pursuit Create/Edit and when using the Smart Field during Document Create or Insert.
Read Only: If this setting is enabled, the Smart Field and its content will appear as read-only during Pursuit Create/Edit and when using the Smart Field during Document Create or Insert.
Email Updates Released November 4th
We recently made several updates to our emails, aiming to enhance their user-friendliness. These changes are designed to provide a clearer and more streamlined experience for our users.
The first significant update is to the Document Assignment email, which now includes detailed instructions on how to respond to the assignment. This enhancement is intended to guide users more effectively through the assignment process.
Additionally, we updated the design of several of our emails sent automatically by QorusDocs by removing the large blue banner at the top of the email, so more of the important email content is visible without scrolling. The emails that received this update include the following:
- Welcome email
- Hub requests:
- Join hub request (Admin)
- Join hub request (Requestor)
- Accepted/Declined request
- Share & Track:
- First Share Access
- Share Expired
- Delegated Auth expired
Lastly, we modified the instructional text in the Welcome Email to make it more universally applicable to our customers, including those who bulk deploy the add-in:
“To get started, Sign into QorusDocs or use our Add-ins for Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel to collaboratively create and submit branded visually compelling proposals”
Re-Assignments Email Trigger Released November 29th
We've made a notable update to the Assignment feature. When you create a new Assignment, we continue to email the initial assignee(s) to notify them about the assignment. However, we've addressed a crucial aspect of assignment notifications: if the assignment is re-assigned, it will now trigger a notification email to the new assignee(s).
This enhancement is particularly useful for firms that may initially assign all of their Pursuit assignments to the Pursuit Owner, intending to re-assign later. The new functionality ensures that every re-assignment is communicated effectively, keeping all relevant parties informed and up-to-date, thereby streamlining the assignment management process.
Hub Values for Default Smart Fields and Selections Released December 13th
Our final update is an upgrade to the way Default Smart Field values function, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of your document management. Going forward, the latest values for these fields will be pulled directly from the Hub, rather than relying on the value saved with the document or template at the time of its creation. This change ensures that if a default value is altered, the content manager needs only to update this value in the Hub to ensure that the correct value is used for all new documents. Consequently, whenever that Smart Field is utilized, it will automatically incorporate the revised value, offering content managers peace of mind and streamlining the update process.
In addition, this update significantly improves the management of single select or multi select Smart Fields. Now, if a content manager modifies the selection options for these fields in the Hub, these changes will be immediately reflected whenever that Smart Field is used. Previously, the selection options were fixed at the time the template was created, meaning that any new document derived from that template would display the options as they were when the template was initially saved. With this enhancement, updating these options becomes a centralized task; there's no longer a need to refresh the fields in each template if the options change. This update represents a major step forward in simplifying and unifying the content management process across your documents.
