User roles in QorusDocs determine the features that a user can access. Among the four roles available, the Admin user role carries the highest level of permissions and has access to all QorusDocs features.
Since you can have more than one Admin user, one of these users will serve as the ‘Primary Admin’. The 'Primary Admin' receives email notifications whenever a new user requests to join your QorusDocs. All Admin users can manage users and configure your QorusDocs hub.
In this article, we’ll explain how Admin users can:
1. Access a User’s Profile
In the left nav of your QorusDocs Hub, go to ‘User Management’ under ‘Settings’. In the search box, type the first few letters of the user’s name or email address.
Then click on the cog/gear icon to the right and select ‘Edit’.
2. Edit User Profile
This will bring up the User Information page. Here, you can update each of the following:
1. Time Zone
Use the drop-down menu to select the time zone where the user is located. You can also type the first few letters of the time zone location, instead of scrolling through the long list of time zones available.
For example, typing ‘Pret’ will bring up the time zone for ‘Pretoria’.
2. Language
Here you can select one or more languages from a drop-down menu. For users where language targeting has been turned on, this setting will ensure the user only sees search results in the languages you selected.
3. Country
Select the user’s country by either typing in the search box or scrolling through the drop-down list.
4. Role
Each user belongs to a user role, which controls the level of access they have to QorusDocs features, and which you can learn more about here.
You can update the role a user belongs to by selecting it from the ‘Role’ drop-down menu:
5. License
Here, you won’t be able to change the license assigned to your QorusDocs instance, but you will be able to determine whether QorusDocs should hide all collaboration insights about the user whose profile you’re editing.
Collaboration insights are turned on for all users by default, allowing coworkers to see a specific user’s current workload, how they are tracking towards completion, and their track record of completing assignments on time, late, or not at all.
Next, if the user you’re editing belongs to the QorusDocs Admin user role, then you can specify whether they should be the Primary Contact for your QorusDocs. The Primary Contact receives email notifications about your QorusDocs subscription and whenever a new user requests to join your QorusDocs.
7. User Group
If there are any custom user groups in your QorusDocs, you can assign the user to one or more groups by selecting from the multi-select drop-down menu or by using the search tool.
