Target Audience: Microsoft 365 Admins
QorusDocs add-ins bring QorusDocs into Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Before you start: confirm the organization's Office apps meet the minimum software requirements — Microsoft 365, Office 2021 Professional, or Office 2019 Retail (version starting "2206").
Choose the your organization's preferred approach:
- Centralized Deployment (recommended) — IT deploys both add-ins to users via the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. No action needed from individual users.
- Self-Installation — users install the add-ins themselves from the Microsoft Store. This is only an option if your IT policy allows it.
One thing to get right either way: "QorusDocs for Outlook" and "QorusDocs for Word, PowerPoint, and Excel" are two separate add-ins. Whichever approach you choose, both need to be deployed or installed — missing one leaves users without QorusDocs in part of their Office suite.
Centralized Deployment (recommended)
1. Open the Microsoft 365 Admin Center
- Log in with your admin credentials, then go to Settings > Integrated apps and click Deploy Add-In.
2. Deploy both QorusDocs add-ins
- Search for and deploy "QorusDocs for Outlook".
- Search for and deploy "QorusDocs for Word, PowerPoint, and Excel".
- For each, choose the users or groups who need it, and decide whether to deploy now or on a schedule.
- Enable the add-ins to appear automatically so users don't need to install anything themselves.
3. Verify and confirm
- Check that both add-ins appear and work in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for a test user.
-
Let your QorusDocs Product Specialist know once both add-ins are deployed.
Self-Installation via Microsoft Store (alternative)
If the organization prefers this approach, users can install the add-ins themselves if there are no IT policies preventing this:
- Open Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, or Excel.
- Go to Get Add-ins (in the Home ribbon for Outlook, or the Insert ribbon for Word/PowerPoint/Excel).
- Search "QorusDocs", select the add-in for that app, and click Add (or Get it now).
-
Confirm the install, then sign in to QorusDocs from within the add-in.
Wrapping Up
If an add-in doesn't appear: confirm Office is updated to the latest version, that IT has allowed Microsoft Store access (for self-install), and try restarting the Office app. Still stuck — contact your organizations IT support.
Notify your Product Specialist once the add-ins are deployed (or installed) and verified.
