3 - Global Administrator consent to QorusDocs

Target Audience: Microsoft 365 (M365) Global Administrators

QorusDocs needs consent from a Global Administrator to connect to your organization's Microsoft 365 services. Logging in to QorusDocs and granting SharePoint Online access are required for every onboarding. Connecting OneDrive, Teams, and Microsoft 365 Groups is optional — only set these up if the team plans to use them.

Before you start: the admin completing this guide must already be added as an Administrator in QorusDocs by your QorusDocs Product Specialist, so please let them know the UPN for the account you will be using.

One thing to get right every time: whenever you're prompted for consent, check the box for "Consent on behalf of the organization." Skip this and users will keep hitting individual consent prompts, and access will be inconsistent across the team.

Mandatory Set-up

1. Log in to QorusDocs

• Go to www.qorushub.com and log in with your M365 Global Administrator credentials.
• When prompted, check the box labeled "Consent on behalf of the organization." 
• This is what lets you grant the consents below on behalf of the organization — without it, users will be repeatedly asked for individual consent, and access will be inconsistent.

2. Grant SharePoint Online Access

• In QorusDocs (left navigation menu), go to Manage > Content Sources, click Add, and select SharePoint Online Library.
• Paste in your SharePoint site URL (grab it from the address bar on your SharePoint site's homepage), click Next.
• When prompted, check the box labeled "Consent on behalf of the organization." 
• This is the primary content repository QorusDocs draws on, so it's required for the team to manage and access documents through the platform.

Optional Set-up (only if the team needs it)

Each of the following applications follow the same pattern: go to Content Sources, click Add, select the source, and grant consent when prompted.

• OneDrive for Business — worth setting up if the team stores or shares individual files in OneDrive and wants to work with them directly in QorusDocs.
• Microsoft Teams — worth setting up if the team collaborates in Teams channels and wants to search and manage that content from QorusDocs.

• Microsoft 365 Groups — under Settings > User Management > Groups, link a QorusDocs group to an Azure AD Microsoft 365 group instead, then grant consent to sync memberships. Useful if you want AD group membership to drive QorusDocs access automatically rather than managing it manually.

   

Wrapping Up

Verify consents — in QorusDocs, check the Search section to confirm SharePoint Online (required) and any optional sources you set up are connected and working.

Notify your Product Specialist — once consents are in place, let your QorusDocs Product Specialist know.
