Opening Documents in the Desktop App with the Add-In 

With Copy Document Link, you can generate a link that allows internal team members to open the document directly in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, or Excel, with the QorusDocs Add-in automatically loaded. If the document is associated with a Pursuit, clicking the link will also navigate the user directly to the Pursuit workspace within the Add-in. 

This means: 

• No searching for files—the link takes users straight to the correct document. 
• No manual Add-in activation—QorusDocs loads automatically. 
• No risk of outdated versions—users work within the shared document, not a local copy. 

This feature is especially useful for teams transitioning to cloud-based collaboration. Sharing a Read-Only Version

In some cases, you may need to share a non-editable version of a document for review, you can use the save as PDF to generate a PDF version of the file. 

• Once the PDF file is created, the recipients can click on the copy Document link copying a link to open the PDF version in their browser. 

This ensures that reviewers can view the document without making changes. 

This is ideal for situations where feedback is needed without the risk of unintentional edits.
