Assignment Proxy users

This article applies to:Available in these QorusDocs Editions:

You can nominate one or more coworkers as ‘proxy users’ for assignments, giving them the power to respond to and action assignments on your behalf, either for a specific duration or indefinitely.

This is especially useful if you go on PTO and need to ensure that there’s coverage while you’re out.

In this article, we’ll explain learn how:

  1. Access your user profile settings
  2. Designate one or more proxy users
  3. The user experience for the proxy user

 1. Access your user profile settings

First things first, you’ll need to log in to your QorusDocs Hub here: https://www.qorushub.com/

Then, in the top nav (top right of your screen), click on your name and then on ‘Profile Settings’:

2. Designate one or more proxy users

Check the box next to ‘Designate proxy users’, and then specify the duration you want this to be turned on for. If you’d like it to be indefinitely, then click on the ‘indefinitely’ option at the bottom of the date picker.

Next, use the search box to search for the user you’d like to designate as your proxy (you can choose more than one):

3. The user experience for the proxy user

The next time people you’ve added as your proxy log in to their account, they will see all of your assignments in their ‘To-do’ list, in addition to their own:

When they open a document that contains assignments allocated to you, the proxy user must click on ‘Accept’ before they can action the assignment:

This adds them to the list of people the task is assigned to:
