In our December release, we're adding a few new shiny bells and whistles to your PowerPoint Composer experience, that we hope will help you beat the end of year rush to get all your business critical presentations done and dusted before the holiday festivities begin.
FROM THE SEARCH STRAIGHT TO THE OUTCOME PANEL
In PowerPoint Composer, you can now skip the Source Panel and drag and drop presentations from the search return directly into the Outcome panel to be assembled. This is ideal for those who know their SharePoint Online slide content well and would like to insert in one go all the slides of a particular presentation into the final deck being assembled.
SELECT AND INSERT MULTIPLE SLIDES
Then, if it's just a few slides you're after, you no longer need to drag and drop slides one at a time from the Source Panel into the Outcome Panel. You can now save time by selecting multiple slides from the Source Panel, then dragging and dropping them all at once into the Outcome panel, making it even quicker than before to assemble beautiful presentations from your re-usable SharePoint Online slide content.
We've added Insights that now record PowerPoint Composer usage, so you can see how many times a presentation file has been used to assemble new slide decks using PowerPoint Composer. These insights are available in all the Qorus Productivity add-ins for Office 365, as well as in the Qorus Management Portal for those on the Qorus Author plan.
UNDER THE HOOD IMPROVEMENTS
Under the hood, we've added a bunch of performance improvements aimed at better handling large files in PowerPoint Composer. If you've selected a particularly large file to insert, Qorus will now display an informational message to let you know the file is big, and that it may take a little longer to retrieve the file from the cloud. If it's a particularly huge file, and your internet connection is not that great, you're in total control and have the choice of cancelling the insert and carrying on working on other things until you have a better internet connection.
