About user permissions

APPLIES TO QORUS CUSTOMERS ON THE FREE PLAN AND ON THE AUTHOR PLAN

The permissions that have been set in your SharePoint Online environment, to govern the access and use of your organisation's content, continue to apply with Qorus.

This means that you'd need to have at least read permissions to a content item, for it to be included in the search return in any of the Qorus office add-ins. And if you do have read-only permissions, then opening a content item from one of the Qorus add-ins will open it in read-only mode on your desktop, just as if you had opened it directly from SharePoint Online.

When it comes to managing search settings, please note that the minimum SharePoint Online role you should belong to is the Contributor role.

Qorus will not in any way modify the behavior of the permission levels that have been applied to your SharePoint Online, and you can expect the security and privacy of your content to remain exactly as specified in SharePoint Online.
