July 18th Release: Attach as PDF, and more

The latest Qorus release has landed!

And here's all you need to know about the latest batch of Qorus goodness to make its way to your Qorus Add-ins for Office 365.

NEW IN QORUS EMAIL BUILDER: ATTACH AS PDF

You asked for it, and we've heard. The option to attach presentations and documents as PDFs, rather than in their original format, is now available.

All you need to do is click on the 'Attach' paperclip icon, and then decide which format you'd like your file to go out as.

IMPROVED IN QORUS EMAIL BUILDER: ONE INSERT BUTTON

Previously, we had two 'Insert' buttons in the Qorus Email Builder Add-in. One was for inserting links, and the other for inserting the body of a document as plain text, into an email.

To simplify and streamline things a little, we decide to consolidate the two 'insert' options into one button. Now, when you click on 'Insert', the contents of the file will be inserted into the email as plain text. And when you click on the Insert Options menu (drop down arrow), you'll have the ability to insert a link to the file.

IMPROVED IN QORUS DOCUMENT BUILDER: 'SAVE AS REFRESHABLE CONTENT' ON CLIP

When you clip content using the Qorus Email Builder Add-in, you can now decide whether the content you're clipping should be made refreshable, or not.

Previously, all content clipped with Qorus was refreshable, unless this feature was turned off in the Qorus Management Portal.

With today's release however, you can now decide for each clipped file, as you're working in Word, whether it should be possible to sync changes between the source document and the resulting clipped document with the Qorus Refresh.

IMPROVED IN THE QORUS MANAGEMENT PORTAL: ODATA

We've also updated the Qorus usage and activity information in the Qorus odata service for those interested in better understanding how their users are engaging with their content, as well as collaborating with Qorus around documents.

OTHER UNDER THE HOOD STUFF

In preparation for some shiny new improvements and features coming your way soon (watch this space!), we've been polishing the plumbing and making a few adjustments to the wiring of the Qorus machine. And as usual, we've intentionally harmed a few bugs while we were at it.
